A-Game Sportsplex Now Offers Homeschool P.E. by Daniel Kendrick

Hi, my name is Daniel Kendrick, and I am the Operations Director at A-Game Sportsplex in Cool Springs. I also happen to be a product of homeschooling! I was homeschooled until 6th grade, at which point I attended Franklin Classical School until graduation from high school. I am a huge proponent of homeschooling and completely support and believe in this educational option.
Keely asked me to share a little bit about A-Game, so I would like to focus on a new program that we just started for homeschoolers
on Tuesday, January 6. But first, a quick overview of our facility. We are located at 215 Gothic Court, just off of Mallory Station in Cool Springs. Our building is 177,000 sq. ft. and includes:
-        6 Basketball / 12 Volleyball courts
-        2 Ice rinks
-        Laser Chase (4000 sq. ft. laser tag arena)
-        A-Game Fitness & Performance (“AFP”) membership gym & fitness classes
-        STAR Physical Therapy
-        A variety of food options including a full service concession stand, catering, and our newly-opened bar “The Overlook” (beer only)
We offer a variety of leagues, camps, clinics, and travel club programs in volleyball, basketball, and hockey, as well as the A-Game Skate Academy, which offers instruction for beginning skaters all the way up to Olympic-level competition. Our Special Events department, which includes Laser Chase (open to the public 7 days/week), maintains a very busy schedule full of birthday parties, church lock-ins, corporate outings and school field trips.
Since we deal almost exclusively in youth sports, the majority of our business takes place during evenings and weekends. This leaves an obvious gap in our daytime programming, with at least one obvious demographic to cater to: homeschooling families! So what our Courts Director, Michael McNutt, has done, at the suggestion of a local homeschool mom, is created a P.E./Fitness class that will meet twice weekly for the entire spring semester.
The class will run from 11:00a-12:00p every Tuesday & Thursday from January 6 to May 14. The sessions will include basketball, volleyball, futsal, ice-skating, laser tag, kickball, dodge ball, weight room instruction, nutrition classes, and more! The classes are open to ages 6 and up.
As an optional bonus, our Food & Beverage Director, Chef Jason Williams, will create a lunchroom environment from 12:00-12:30 each day.
The pricing for all the classes and lunch is as follows:
 - Single Class Session: $7.00/person (Additional siblings: $5.00)
 - Unlimited Sessions for One Month: $48.00/person (Additional siblings: $40.00)
 - Unlimited Sessions for One Semester: $160.00/person (Additional siblings: $150.00)
 - Lunch: $5.50 per person
Thank you for taking the time to read about A-Game and our new homeschool fitness program. For more information about this program, you can read about it on our website or contact Michael McNutt at (615) 771-2444 ext. 235, or mmcnutt [at] goagame [dot] com.
I hope to see you around A-Game very soon!
