Drama Classes with an Eco-Twist at Bowie Nature Park

Drama Classes with an Eco-Twist Offered in February at Bowie Nature Park

Bowie Nature Park is pleased to announce a special 4-week drama program for ages 5-7 and ages 8-12 every Friday starting February 5 and will be taught at the Nature Center by professional actor and teacher, Nichole Hamilton.
Ages 5-7 will stretch their bodies, voices, and imagination with fun acting warm ups and games. Children will be encouraged to bring their favorite animal or nature themed storybooks. Through call and response, children will act out the stories. Parents are welcomed to observe as well as participate in the action!
  • Class times are Fridays in February, 12:30-1:30pm
  • Prices are $15/class. Total $60.00
  • A final performance will be open to children and families on final day of class, February 26 at 4pm.

Ages 8-12 will stretch their bodies, voices, and imagination with fun acting warm ups and games. Children will learn the art of improvisation and storytelling as we create our own unique animal and ecologically themed original stories as an ensemble. Parents are encouraged to spend time running errands or reading a book.
  • Class times are Fridays in February 2:00-3:30pm
  • Prices are $20/class. Total $80
  • A final performance will be open to children and families on final day of class, February 26 at 4:15pm.

Pre-registration with commitment for all 4 weeks (February 5, 12, 19, and 26) is required because of limited space and final performance element. The total fee for the series is due the first day of class. Please call 615-799-5544 EXT 2, or email programdirector@fairview-tn.org to register your child.

A professional actor and teacher for almost twenty years, Nichole received a BA in Theatre from the University of Montevallo near Birmingham, Alabama and an MFA in Acting from the University of Florida in Gainesville Florida. A member of the Equity Actor’s Association for over five years, Nichole has worked in regional theatres in California, New York, Florida, and North Carolina and has taught ages 3-50 in afterschool and outreach programs as well as in academic institutions. With family in Fairview, Nichole is relocating to the area and is excited to join forces with Bowie Park to bring a fun and educational experience to children in the Williamson County area.
