Barnes & Noble Cool Springs Launches Second Annual Get Pop-Cultured™ Celebration

A Month-Long Series of Events You Won’t Want to Miss Starting July 1, 2015

Barnes & Noble is launching the second annual Get Pop-Cultured with Barnes & Noble celebration on July 1, a month-long series of events you won’t want to miss. Get Pop-Cultured with Barnes & Noble was first established in 2014 to bring to life customers’ favorite books, characters, movies, artists, illustrators and pop-culture icons with themed events, author signings, panel discussions, contests, exclusive content, giveaways and prizes, sneak peeks, activities, and more. This year it continues and features an even more expansive lineup of events, appearances, giveaways and more, including weekly Throwback Thursdays celebrating a different decade every week from the 50s through the 90s, a To Kill a Mockingbird Read-A-Thon, a Minions Fun event, Manga Mania, Fan Girl Friday, Vinyl Day, James Patterson Day a Dr. Seuss Spectacular and many more unique events and promotions all throughout July.



Throwback Thursdays:
When: Every Thursday in July – Contact the store for specific events and times.
What: Join us every Thursday for a nostalgic journey as we relive the most iconic moments in pop culture from the 1950s through the 1990s.

Time Travel Weekend – Doctor Who
When: Friday, July 3, 2015 at 7 p.m.
What: Enjoy trivia, giveaways, a special offer, and more, or come dressed as your favorite character and join the fun.

Time Travel Weekend – Magic Treehouse Dinosaurs Before Dark 
When: Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 10 a.m.
What: Travel back millions of years to explore the age of dinosaurs with fun activities, giveaways, and a special offer.

DC Comics™ Days
When: Wednesday, July 8, through Sunday, July 12, 2015
What: Come in for a special offer on all DC Comics graphic novels and get a free Young Gotham comic collection and poster while supplies last. Also enjoy other giveaways and activities. Cosplay is welcomed!

Comic Convention Collectibles
When: Thursday, July 9, through Sunday, July 12, 2015

To Kill a Mockingbird Read-A-Thon
When: Monday, July 13, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
What: All stores nationwide will read the acclaimed novel from start to finish and feature a variety of special guest readers, including authors or local celebrities.

Go Set a Watchman release
When: Tuesday, July 14,  2015starting at 7 a.m.
What: The highly anticipated novel is available for sale! Visit our Café stores from 7am to10am and get a free hot tall coffee with your purchase of Go Set a Watchman. Plus, the first 20 customers to buy the book will receive a free exclusive To Kill a Mockingbird reusable tote.

Minions Fun
When: Friday, July 17, 2015 at 7 p.m.
What: Customers can sign up now at Barnes & Noble Cool Springs for the Minions Fun event. Become a certified Minion and attend Villain-Con to help search for the most despicable villain to follow. Activities and giveaways round out the fun.

Star Wars Saturday
When: Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1 p.m.
What: Fans of all ages join us for exclusive products, activities, cosplay, trivia, and for a chance to win a Star Wars character standee.

Manga Mania
