How Archery Benefits Homeschoolers by Theresa Greer

As a home school mom, I have seen all the benefits of archery for my children. Archery is a great sport for all ages and can be done year round. Students not only learn how to shoot a bow safely, but also learn patience, focus, coordination, balance, and self confidence.

To participate in this sport you will need
a bow, arrows, arm guard, finger tab or release, and lessons. Most clubs provide equipment but you can purchase a quality bow with arrows and safety gear for under $200. Our archery club for archers that want to shoot just for fun and those that would like to shoot competitively meets in Franklin on Tuesday nights.

If you are interested in learning more about this sport, you can contact me at Music City Archery. We are located in the West Nashville area and provide home school lessons Mondays and Thursdays. We also have a mobile range and can bring archery to your co-op or tutorial. Home School Day is the first Friday of every month at 2:00 which is the perfect opportunity for you and your child to give archery a shot!
